What is the Code Pub?

The Code Pub is a regular (mostly quarterly) meetup for FINTA* in Tech. FINTA stands for Female, Intersex, Trans and Agender. It stands for anyone who is not a cis man. In this way, we want to create a safe space for exchange at our events for (so far) underrepresented genders in the IT industry. The events are open to beginners as well as professionals. Our goal is to create a platform where we can inspire and be inspired. 🤩

The CodePub initiative was founded 2013 by a group of engaged people at Netlight with the purpose to increase the number of women in the IT industry. We achieved a lot in the last 10 years, but we are not there yet - so the story continues! By lowering the threshold for getting started with programming and highlighting FINTA* role models within IT, we believe that we can make a difference. In order to impact the entire industry, we work together with other cool IT companies and initiatives. For every event, we are handpicking topics and speakers to give you always new insights. 🙌

This time we thought it is important to highlight female Tech Entrepreneurs because the number of female founders with a study background in Tech/IT is quite rare. How can we change that? By showing different careers and empowering others. Also, hands-on skills are helpful and therefore we set up workshops with a deep dive into two different IT topics. 🙏
